The latest donations received by the Inverell Community Youth Centre has been put towards a plethora of essentials such as food and activities for disadvantaged kids and teenagers.
The centre was a recipient of Squadron Energy’s Sapphire Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund in early 2025.
That contribution has been used by the organisation to register their shuttle bus, which ensures young people can get to and from the centre and to planned events safely.
It has provided healthy meals, snacks, drinks and several engaging activities for the youth. The latter encourages those who attend to socialise with one another.
The organisation has also used that support to print and pin up material that provides details of support services for young people affected by homelessness, mental health issues and domestic violence.
ICYOUth Co-ordinator Rhonda Mason said the centre was grateful for Squadron Energy’s contribution.
“Due to Squadron Energy and Sapphire Wind Farm support, our youth are feeling much more supported,” she said.
“They are empowered to become more than they imagined and are producing great young community members.”
The Inverell Community Youth Centre was established and has been a support base for local disadvantaged youth since 2019.
