In the 2022 Community Benefit Fund round, Jahna Day was awarded a scholarship to pursue a dual Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and Agribusiness at the University of Queensland.

Now in her third year of the four-year program, Jahna is dedicated to leveraging her education to make a meaningful impact on her community.

Having grown up in the Clarke Creek community, Jahna has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities. This background fuels her drive to give back and support the development and sustainability of Clarke Creek.

“I am deeply committed to the Clarke Creek community, where I have lived my entire life. This scholarship has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion for agricultural science and sustainability, and I am eager to give back to the region that has supported me, Jahna said.

“I am grateful to Squadron Energy for their generous support, which has assisted me on my educational journey.”

Clarke Creek Community Relations Advisor Patrice Willoughby said Squadron Energy is committed to building and maintaining positive and long-lasting relationships with the community.

“We’re always looking for ways to support our communities over the long term and we’re incredibly proud to support Jahna Day through the Community Benefit Fund scholarship.

“Jahna’s commitment to her community and her enthusiasm for making a positive impact to improve the environment align strongly with our values at Squadron Energy.”

The Clarke Creek Wind Farm Community Fund gives financial support to community groups and projects that provide a benefit to the local community.
