The 22nd annual Ride For The Chopper saw 38 riders leave from Glen Innes on 13 September, raising funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

On day three of the ride, riders stopped in at Sapphire Wind Farm to acknowledge the support of Squadron Energy.

Sapphire Wind Farm Operations Manager, David Williamson said Squadron Energy was proud to contribute to the ongoing emergency aeromedical services that support 1.5 million people across Northern NSW.

“We are always looking at ways to provide benefits to the communities where our projects are based, and this sponsorship allows us to provide support for a vital service that helps millions,” Mr Williamson said.

"In addition to sponsoring the Service’s Tamworth and Lismore based aircraft, we also sponsor the Ride For The Chopper, as well as providing support to the Glen Innes and Inverell volunteer support groups.

“The Sapphire Wind Farm team have pitched in to raise $500, and Squadron Energy matched it, to give the Ride The Chopper event an extra $1000 toward their fundraising goal.”
