Squadron Energy, Australia’s leading renewable energy company is proud to announce its national sponsorship of Rural Women’s Day (RWD) and highlight their incredible work in connecting and supporting rural and regional women across Australia.

“This partnership with Squadron Energy is an incredibly exciting new chapter for Rural Women's Day that will ensure a collaborative future for our not-for-profit community,” said RWD Founder and Managing Director Jackie Elliott.

“I couldn’t be more grateful to have Rural Women's Day recognised by Squadron Energy as a valuable resource connecting rural and regional women, through community, collaboration and celebration.”

Rural Women’s Day events will be held in rural and regional towns across Australia in from September to November this year.

What was originally conceived as a one-off event for local women to connect over five years ago, held in Dunkeld in Victoria, Rural Women’s Day has now grown to an online community of 15,000 followers, published two keepsake magazines and hosted over 20 events spanning across five Australian states.

Squadron Energy, which is a wholly owned portfolio company of Tattarang, is proud to support Rural Women’s Day in reaching even more regional women at events in communities where their projects are based across Victoria, NSW and Queensland.

Squadron Energy’s support will enable RWD to expand and reach even more women across Australia. Squadron Energy is supporting RWD events as the naming rights sponsor in Nagambie and Horsham in Victoria, Young and Dubbo in New South Wales and Rockhampton in Central Queensland.

Tattarang Director Nicola Forrest AO, who grew up on a sheep and cattle farm in Central NSW, said she was proud to be backing an organisation dedicated to connecting and supporting women across regional Australia.

“As someone who grew up in a small rural community, I know the unique challenges that women face in the bush as well as their incredible strength and resilience,” Ms Forrest said.

“Squadron Energy is committed to investing in our communities and by teaming up with trusted partners like Rural Women’s Day, we can deliver a greater positive impact and help support those women who are the cornerstone of their communities and the backbone of our country.”

“I hope this announcement brings encouragement to anyone, particularly rural women who have an idea, or have started a project — follow your passion, believe in yourself, be proud of your achievements and trust the process,” Ms Elliott added.
