Squadron Energy joined around 100 people at Armidale's Town Hall to talk about the growing number of employment and business opportunities in New England’s renewable energy sector.

The event, which was organised by local, state, and federal government and community-based organisations, highlighted the significant economic and employment opportunities that accompany the region's commitment to renewable energy.

Squadron Energy People and Culture Coordinator Chloe Swan said it was important for the community to know how to best harness these opportunities.

The New England Renewable Energy Zone presents a massive economic opportunity, with many job opportunities opening up for local communities," Ms Swan said.

As developers, we must invest in local traineeships, partner with Aboriginal businesses, and create tangible pathways for local workers."

Squadron Energy remains committed to ensuring that local communities and businesses are well-positioned to benefit from the renewable energy boom in New England.

Through targeted investments and strategic partnerships, Squadron aims to embed social value and support sustainable economic growth in the region.
