Squadron Energy, in partnership with the University of Newcastle, is again offering the Squadron Energy Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship.

This scholarship highlights Squadron Energy’s commitment to creating opportunities for First Nations students to excel in higher education, particularly in fields pivotal to Australia's sustainable energy future.

The scholarship aims to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing studies in renewable energy, engineering, environmental science, and other disciplines that are integral to the energy transition.

In addition to financial support, successful candidates will be considered for internships with Squadron Energy, providing invaluable industry experience.

“Squadron Energy remain committed to fostering opportunities in the clean energy sector,” Squadron Energy’s Project Officer Nadine Caff said.

“This scholarship aims to help alleviate some of the financial barriers faced by First Nations students pursuing careers in Australia’s clean energy future.”

The scholarship is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in eligible STEM and finance programs at the University of Newcastle.

Programs include Aerospace Systems Engineering, Environmental Science and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, and more.
