Work is continuing on the Twelve Mile Road upgrade, despite weather and poor ground condition impacts.
To reduce delays, we are planning to mobilise Transgrid to the Uungula Wind Farm site in the middle of February 2025. Final work on Twelve Mile Road will be done in parallel with Transgrid preparing for work.
We are seeking approval from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) for this parallel work, before starting full construction activities on the wind farm site. This will ensure the overall program of work is not further impacted and we can reduce any prolonged impact to local residents.
When this work starts, Twelve Mile Road users may see increased traffic from the mid-February to late March on weekdays, from 6 am to 7:30 am and 5 pm to 6:30 pm as upgrade work on Twelve Mile Road reaches completion.
From early next month, the western end of Twelve Mile Road will have the first layer of bitumen seal applied, with the application of bitumen seal being applied to the eastern end of the road to start soon after.
