Our Firming Projects
Euston, NSW
Koorakee Energy Park
The proposed Koorakee Energy Park is located around 12km north of Euston, NSW within the South West Renewable Energy Zone. It consists of a wind farm with up to 167 wind turbines, a solar farm and battery energy storage. The project has the potential to have a total generating capacity of up to 2GW, the equivalent of powering more than 1.1 million average NSW homes.

Port Kembla Energy Terminal, NSW
Port Kembla Energy Terminal
Port Kembla Energy Terminal is located on Dharawal land, in Port Kembla’s Inner Harbour. When completed, the facility will have the capacity to supply 500TJ a day - enough to meet nearly all of NSW’s gas needs on a peak day. The new terminal will support domestic gas supply as we transition to renewable energy.

Sapphire Battery, NSW
Sapphire Battery
The Sapphire Battery is a 30MW, 1 hour (lithium-iron phosphate) battery development located next to the 270MW Sapphire Wind Farm, in the New England region of northern NSW.
The battery will store excess energy from the wind farm and the grid and discharge it when customers need it most.
It will also deliver ancillary market services, which support a more secure and reliable grid. The battery can be expanded in future, and when paired with the approved Sapphire solar farm, could provide ‘firm’ renewable energy to match large customers’ needs.
