Squadron Energy, alongside the St George Illawarra Dragons, organised a weekend of community and family activities as part of the Mudgee Charity Shield event.
The night before the big game, Squadron brought stakeholders together for a pre-game player ‘meet and greet’ and leadership presentation from Coach Shane Flanagan.
On the morning of game day, footy fans from across Australia flocked to Lawson Park for an exciting pre-match community event with the St George Illawarra Dragons and mascot, Scorch.
The Dragons team attended the event to connect with their supporters, giving them the opportunity to meet their favourite players from the Red V, get a poster signed and pick up some fantastic giveaways.
The morning was a huge success with smiles all around and no doubt a positive way for the players to shake off those pre-game nerves. It must have worked, because the Dragons came away with a 46-26 win against the Rabbitohs, an exciting preview of the 2025 season.
