Squadron Energy joined forces with the St George Illawarra Dragons as a partner in 2024 and became Major Partner of the Dragons’ NRL and NRLW teams in 2025 and 2026.
Squadron Energy is leading Australia’s transition to clean, renewable energy, with a strong focus on the Illawarra playing a key role in delivering firmed renewable energy.
Beyond the Illawarra, Squadron Energy’s footprint is expansive and extends along the eastern states, which is not dissimilar to the wide appeal and membership footprint of the Dragons.
Throughout the partnership the Dragons Squadron Energy Community Blitz brought community programs to the Central-West Orana, Riverina and New England regions of NSW.
In 2026, Squadron Energy and the Dragons are building a program of community events that will deliver initiatives for young people focussed on respect, resilience and wellbeing for both themselves and the environment.
The Best You Can Be program
The Dragons Best You Can Be program focuses on helping students make positive choices around health and wellbeing.
The workshops include tips to stay active, how to practice tolerance, resilience, respect and inclusiveness, the importance of good sleep, screen time management, hydration and nutrition, as well as the important role we all play taking care of our environment.
Squadron Energy has proudly supported the St George Illawarra Dragons to deliver this program to over 30 regional schools – with more to come in 2026, starting with the Riverina and Southern Tablelands in April.
In 2025, we introduced Win the Morning walks, offering the broader community the opportunity to meet up with the Dragons at a local coffee shop and join them for a morning walk. The events have had a great turnout (despite the cold winters!)
In collaboration with local sporting clubs, the community blitz program also includes sessions with local rugby clubs - focusing not only on further developing footy skills but also resilience and respect sessions.
Squadron Energy is delighted to bring this fantastic community program to communities in regional NSW - where there is no shortage of Dragons fans.
