Squadron Energy welcomes progress on the implementation of the Federal Government’s Developer Rating Scheme, which aims to promote best practice engagement among renewable energy developers and provide landholders with clear information about reputable developers.
“We are happy to be the first to put our hand up and sign up to the Developer Ratings Scheme, which will enhance transparency and trust in the development of renewable energy projects,” Squadron Energy CEO Rob Wheals said.
“Squadron Energy is committed to setting a high standard in working with landowners and communities to ensure we create long-term economic opportunities for the regions we operate in.”
The opt-in voluntary scheme, developed with input from all levels of government, landholders, community organisations, industry bodies, and renewable energy and transmission project developers, will help create clear benchmarks and best practices – creating additional transparency for landowners and communities.
We hope to work with landowners, community members, and policymakers within the Stakeholder Reference Group to further develop the scheme’s design and scope.
