Squadron Energy’s Murra Warra Wind Farm team have gone above and beyond to raise more than $12,000 for Movember this year.
The figure for this charitable initiative – which involves growing moustaches and raising funds to bring awareness about men’s health issues – was more than double the team’s initial target of $5000.
They also collectively exceeded their distance goal by walking, running, cycling, or hiking 1,603km out of a targeted 1,500km.
The ‘Mo Warra’ group has taken proactive steps to make a real difference, from hosting Friday Mo-Ments with cornhole competitions to walks in the Grampians, creating opportunities to connect and support each other.
Toolbox talks have played a key role, helping the team recognise mental health signs and practice the ALEC framework: Ask thoughtful questions, listen with full attention, encourage action with simple positive steps and check in to show people they are not alone.
Squadron Energy is proud to play a role in promoting men’s health and strengthening community ties on site.
A huge thanks goes to Siemens Energy, Boom Logistics, Aurora Energy Services – Australia and all who participated.
