Residents and visitors have gathered in Windeyer over the Easter long weekend for the annual, community-driven festivities at WindeyerFest.

Support from Squadron Energy, via the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm, helped enable the locally led event to proceed and remain accessible for families.

The family-friendly event featured low-cost amusements provided by Planet Entertainment, including a mechanical bull, footy themed activities, Big Foot races and an inflatable jumping castle, along with live music from a local band playing throughout the afternoon.

WindeyerFest was delivered through strong local collaboration, with volunteers and groups such as the Rotary Club of Mudgee playing an active role on the day.

Crudine Ridge Wind Farm Operations Manager, Glen Best, said the team was delighted to back WindeyerFest.

“WindeyerFest is a great example of a community led event that brings people together, and we were pleased to support it through our Crudine Ridge Wind Farm,” he said.

“Events like this reflect the strength and generosity of the local community, and we value the opportunity to help create shared moments and lasting benefits for towns like Windeyer.”

WindeyerFest organiser, Sue Walker, championed the success of the day along with those who backed it.

“WindeyerFest was a fantastic day, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together to support the community,” she said.

“Support from groups like the Rotary Club of Mudgee and local organisations made a real difference. Their generosity, along with the backing we received from Squadron Energy, helped us turn the event into something we can be proud of.”
