Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm is upgrading the intersection of Mitchell Highway and Goolma Road to improve safety and support oversize overmass deliveries of wind turbine components to the project site.
The work will be completed in two stages. Stage 1 on the south side of Goolma Road (carwash side) is underway and is expected to be completed by Saturday 7 June 2026.
Stage 2 will continue on the north side of Goolma Road (veterinary practice side) and is expected to take place from Sunday 8 June 2026 to Wednesday 8 July 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.
Utility works will be carried out alongside the roadworks from Monday 1 June 2026 to Sunday 14 June 2026.
Work activities will include:
- Traffic management
- Drainage
- Pavement construction
- Line marking
- Signage
Road users should expect minor delays when travelling through the intersection. Approved traffic control measures will be in place during the works.
Current work hours are 7a.m to 6p.m Monday to Friday.
