Applications open for the Clarke Creek Wind Farm Scholarship Fund

Local students from Clarke Creek and surrounding communities can now apply for financial assistance through the Clarke Creek Wind Farm Scholarship Fund. 

The scholarship program supports students pursuing a range of educational pathways, including primary school, secondary school and further study, helping them achieve their academic and career goals. 

Designed to reduce barriers to education and training, the fund aims to empower regional students to reach their full potential while delivering lasting benefits to local communities. 

The initiative forms part of Squadron Energy’s ongoing commitment to creating positive and enduring outcomes for communities surrounding the Clarke Creek Wind Farm. 

Students interested in applying for the scholarship fund or seeking further information, including eligibility criteria and application guidelines, can visit the Squadron Energy SmartyGrants website.

Applications close on 31 October 2026. 

The Clarke Creek Wind Farm Community Consultative Committee will review submissions with successful applicants expected to be announced before the end of 2026. 

The opening of the scholarship fund follows a significant milestone for the wind farm, which surpassed $1 million in community investment earlier this year. 

Since 2022, the project has supported more than 70 local organisations and community initiatives.  

In total, $1.29 million has been allocated to Clarke Creek and surrounding communities, including through scholarship programs.
