Conargo Wind Farm backs charity’s packed-out high tea event for cancer care

The annual Deniliquin Can Assist High Tea drew a strong crowd last Sunday, with locals gathering at Deniliquin Town Hall to enjoy good food, hot tea and great conversation.

Squadron Energy’s Conargo Wind Farm proudly sponsored the popular event, which supports cancer patients and their families across the region.

The event had outgrown its previous venue and was so popular this year that tickets sold out in just four minutes.

The program featured a fashion parade by local business Edith Elsie, a crowd favourite, alongside entertainment and a raffle that added a fun element to the day.

Squadron Energy Conargo Wind Farm Project Developer Aurora Pont said local organisations like Deniliquin Can Assist are central to connecting the community and providing support to cancer patients from the regions, where barriers may otherwise restrict access to much needed support.

“Squadron Energy and the Conargo Wind Farm were proud to support Deniliquin Can Assist and the incredible work they do for local families,” she said.

“The High Tea was a meaningful and fun event bringing the community together for an important cause.”

Deniliquin Can Assist Committee Member Liz Whykes thanked the Conargo Wind Farm team.

“Can Assist Deniliquin is incredibly grateful for Squadron Energy’s generous support of our High Tea,” she said.

“Your commitment to our cause helps us make a meaningful difference in our community.”
