The community is invited to have their say on Spicers Creek Wind Farm with the project's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) placed on public exhibition by the Department of Planning and Environment (DPE).

DPE advises that the EIS and technical studies will be exhibited from Friday 28 July until Thursday 24 August.

This follows extensive community consultation on the proposed project by Squadron Energy's Spicers Creek Wind Farm project team.

The proposed wind farm is located on Wiradjuri Country, west of Gulgong and north east of Wellington, within the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ).

It is expected to power 395,000 homes and support 320 jobs during construction as well as 12 ongoing jobs during operations, while injecting $46.9 million into the regional economy during construction.

The EIS can be found on the NSW Government Major Projects website.
