Squadron Energy is celebrating five years of partnership with Max Potential, a local youth development and leadership program that has supported young people for more than two decades.
Sponsored through Crudine Ridge Wind Farm, the five-year partnership has helped Max Potential continue to deliver its 22‑week youth program in the Central West-Orana.
The program involves pairing students aged 15 to 17 with trained community coaches, who are local adults, to help build their confidence, resilience and practical leadership skills.
Crudine Ridge Wind Farm Site Operations Manager, Glen Best, who took part in the program as a coach, said Max Potential was the perfect initiative to back as it creates a space where young people are supported and can bring a positive difference to the community.

“Being involved with Max Potential as a community coach gave me a front‑row seat to the impact this program has on young people,” he said.
“It builds confidence, skills and makes a difference in their lives. It encourages young people to believe in themselves and their ability to contribute to the community.
“For those reasons, it is exactly the kind of lasting community benefit initiative that Squadron Energy is proud to support.”
Max Potential Director Carla Wilson recognised the milestone anniversary and said Squadron Energy’s commitment had played an important role in strengthening the program in the region.
“For over 20 years, Max Potential has had the privilege of walking alongside young people in the Central West as they discover their strengths, grow in confidence and step into leadership Squadron’s five-year partnership has been a valued part of that journey,” she said.
“Their contribution has helped create real opportunities for young people to be supported, stretched and encouraged, and we are sincerely thankful for the role they have played in strengthening both the program and the community.
“One of the most rewarding things I’ve seen is the way young people begin to back themselves when someone believes in them, walks alongside them, and gives them the space to grow. That kind of support can have a ripple effect right across the community.”
Participants in the program develop skills in communication, confidence, resilience and healthy habits, while also designing and delivering a youth‑led Community Service Project that responds to real local needs.
These coaches regularly meet with students to provide consistent support as they work towards personal goals across 22 weeks.
The partnership reflects a long‑term commitment from Squadron Energy to supporting communities near its projects and investing in initiatives that create lasting local benefit.
