Squadron Energy’s Sapphire Wind Farm team has supported the Inverell Community Sewing for Charity’s annual Christmas drive with the donation of several toys.
The toys, which are given to the Rural Outreach Support Service, are given to children in need within the region.
Squadron Energy’s terminal key to gas reservation policy success
The Australian Government has announced a gas reservation scheme that will require gas exporters to reserve a portion of gas for domestic use.
Squadron Energy has acknowledged this scheme, which aims to put downward pressure on prices, and maintains that the Port Kembla Energy Terminal (PKET) is key to the policy’s success as the terminal ensures gas can get to where it is needed most.
Sapphire Wind Farm fund helps 14 Inverell organisations, with motorcycle club to ride on revamped track
The latest round of Squadron Energy’s Sapphire Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund supported 14 community organisations in the Inverell area.
These organisations shared $90,000, with the Inverell Motorcycle Sports Club using the fund to purchase a power harrow and shelter shed.
Local Central West-Orana students shown the ropes at Uungula Wind Farm
Students from St Johns College in Dubbo visited Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm to learn about renewable energy and the career pathways in the sector.
The visit was part of the NSW Department of Education’s Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program.

Squadron Energy’s Murra Warra Wind Farm team raised over $12,000 for Movember and exceeded their distance goal through running, walking, cycling or hiking. Through events like Friday Mo-Ments and toolbox talks using the ALEC framework, the team promoted men’s health and community connection.
Squadron Energy secures landmark financing for Clarke Creek Wind Farm
A major milestone has been reached for Squadron Energy’s Clarke Creek Wind Farm after the project secured landmark financing. The financing was arranged with a bank group of 10 capital partners. Stage one of Clarke Creek is operational with 100 turbines generating 450MW—enough to power 330,000 homes and cut 738,000 tonnes of emissions annually.
Squadron Energy selects Reganosa for Port Kembla Energy Terminal operations in milestone for Australia’s energy future
Squadron Energy has appointed Reganosa Servicios to operate and maintain Port Kembla Energy Terminal’s onshore facilities. The five-year partnership will create regional jobs and strengthen gas supply on Australia’s east coast.
Squadron Energy supports food, rent and activities for disadvantaged Inverell youth
The Inverell Community Youth Centre has provided essentials for disadvantaged youth such as hot food and activities, with support from Squadron Energy. The centre was the recipient of Squadron Energy’s Sapphire Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.

First fully electric 4×4 rolls onto site at Uungula Wind Farm
Lewis Auto Hire has delivered the first fully electric 4×4 vehicle at Uungula Wind Farm. These vehicles will replace diesel utes. The initiative, working in conjunction with Squadron Energy and Nacap, aims to reduce emissions and promote renewable energy adoption.
