Supporting those in need this holiday season.

As part of CWP Renewables' special Christmas round of sponsorships, more than $2,000 worth of toys were donated to a local Inverell charity group.

The Christmas toy drive, run by Sewing for Charity Australia Inverell/Tingha and STA FM community radio station, aims to provide gifts for people in need, including elderly people and people with disabilities who won't have family or friends around during Christmas.

"Thank you to David Williamson from CWP Renewables for this amazing donation of toys this morning, it certainly helped us to fill our 399 requests," charity organisers said.

"We know there will be children and elderly people enjoying Christmas a little more this year."

This year, CWP Renewables supported a range of initiatives including a series of toy drives and Christmas day lunches for the disadvantaged, as well as local events such as the Community Christmas Parade and Night Markets in Yass Valley and Ilford Public School P&C Christmas Party to name a few.

The sponsorship pool was increased to $40,000 in recognition of the ongoing increased cost of living pressures and was shared across the regions in support of Christmas initiatives.
