Squadron Energy, Australia’s leading renewable energy company, has appointed Reganosa Servicios to operate and maintain the onshore facilities of its Port Kembla Energy Terminal.
This follows an international selection process and marks Reganosa’s first contract in Australia, with an initial five-year term and an option to extend for a further three years.
The partnership will create local job opportunities, with a focus on hiring regionally.
Squadron Energy’s Executive General Manager Operations Stuart Davis said that the appointment firmed up the Port Kembla regasification terminal as the best solution to the looming gas shortage on Australia’s east coast.

“This partnership with Reganosa is a significant milestone for Australia’s energy future,” Mr Davis said.
“By bringing together global expertise and local commitment, we’re ensuring reliable gas supply for the eastern market while laying the groundwork for a flexible, competitive, and sustainable energy system.
“The Port Kembla Energy Terminal will strengthen domestic gas supply, enhance energy security, and support Australia’s energy transition without the need for new gas fields that lock in emissions for decades to come.
“The terminal is the only solution to decades long east coast gas shortfalls, which has put significant cost pressures on households and businesses.”
Reganosa Chief Operating Officer Miguel Ángel Florez said the team were proud to support Squadron Energy in this landmark project.
“Our experience in Asia and our adaptable operating model have enabled us to enter the Australian market and contribute to the region’s energy security,” Mr Ángel Florez said.
“This contract reinforces Reganosa’s strategy of global expansion and our commitment to sustainable energy infrastructure.”
