Squadron Energy thanks community members who last month joined drop-in sessions in Darlington Point and Coleambally to find out about the proposed Banandra Wind Farm.
Around 35 locals took the opportunity to meet the project team, ask questions and share feedback with discussions covering community benefits, biodiversity, visual amenity, fire management and project design.
The sessions are part of Squadron’s commitment to ongoing engagement, with the team completing more than 400 engagement activities with residents, neighbouring landholders, councils, First Nations representatives, community groups and government agencies, since September 2025.
Squadron Energy Senior Project Manager David Stanke said that the feedback shared at the sessions was valuable and would help inform the project’s design.
“We want locals to know that your input matters and helps us understand what is important to this specific community,” Mr Stanke said.
“The team regularly visits the area and welcomes feedback at any time.”

Up to 93 wind turbines are proposed for Banandra Wind Farm – enough to power around 302,000 homes and avoid about 246,000 tonnes of emissions each year.
