Clarke Creek Wind Farm helps bring Motherland Luncheon to life

More than 220 people gathered in Rockhampton for the Motherland Luncheon last month, with Squadron Energy’s Clarke Creek Wind Farm helping bring the event to life.

The luncheon, to celebrate women in rural Australia for Mother’s Day, was held at the Shearing Shed on May 29.

Motherland is a national charity focused on improving the mental health of rural mothers by reducing isolation and increasing access to support.

Clarke Creek Wind Farm signed on to support the charity’s luncheon as a gold sponsor.

The event brought together rural women from across the region to connect over platters and drinks, creating a day focused on support, bonding, empowerment and meaningful conversation.

It featured a panel discussion that examined the highs and lows of motherhood in regional areas.

The panel was hosted by Motherland Founder and CEO Stephanie Trethewey, with three women from the region also contributing.

Motherland Head of Marketing and Communications, Jane McAlpine, thanked the Clarke Creek Wind Farm team for its support.

“We were thrilled to have Squadron Energy as a Gold Sponsor for our Rockhampton event,” Ms McAlpine said.

“Your support enabled us to deliver an event that supports and celebrates rural mums — creating space for old friendships to reconnect and new ones to form.”
