A new battery system for Deniliquin Boat Club, a PA system for Deniliquin Rams Football and Netball Club and sponsorship of Can Assist’s popular High Tea are among the ways Squadron Energy’s Conargo Wind Farm is supporting the Deniliquin community.
Conargo Wind Farm, like all of Squadron Energy’s projects, actively engages with the local community and aims to make a positive contribution to the broader region.
While Conargo Wind Farm is in early development, the team has already committed to supporting multiple local projects and community groups.
Squadron Energy Conargo Wind Farm Project Developer Aurora Pont said the team was pleased to support such projects.

“We’re proud to support a range of community initiatives, helping deliver practical benefits for local organisations and residents,” she said.
“This reflects our commitment to working alongside the community and supporting local priorities.
“We value opportunities to contribute to projects that improve local facilities, strengthen community connections and provide lasting benefits for the region.”
Earlier this year, the Conargo Wind Farm team sponsored the Deniliquin Boat Club’s installation of a battery storage system to complement the solar panels already in place to provide renewable power to the clubhouse on the Edward River.
Deniliquin Boat Club Volunteer Grants Coordinator, Anthony O’Donnell said adding batteries provided efficient, clean energy and will reduce the club’s environmental impact.

“Incorporating battery energy storage to the solar panels at the Deniliquin Boat Club is a win-win situation, providing long-term savings on energy bills, enhancing environmental sustainability and improving the club’s public image as a forward-thinking community hub.
“If the boat club hosts events or functions, solar panels and batteries could help power lighting, sound systems, and other equipment, making these events more environmentally friendly and potentially reducing event costs,” Mr O’Donnell said.
Across the park, the Deniliquin Rams Football and Netball Club have put up a new public announcement system at the home ground – the Hardinge Street Oval.
The Conargo Wind Farm team supported the installation of the new PA system for the club’s home games.
High tea a sell out
Last month, Conargo Wind Farm was a gold sponsor for the highly popular Deniliquin Can Assist High Tea.
The annual event drew a strong crowd early May, with locals enjoying good food and great conversation at the Deniliquin Town Hall.
Proceeds go towards supporting cancer patients and their families across the region.
The event was so popular this year that it had outgrown its previous venue and tickets sold out in just four minutes.

Deniliquin Can Assist Committee Member Liz Whykes thanked the Conargo Wind Farm team.
“Can Assist Deniliquin is incredibly grateful for Squadron Energy’s generous support of our High Tea,” she said.
“Your commitment to our cause helps us make a meaningful difference in our community.”
The Conargo Wind Farm sponsorship program remains open, with local community organisations with upcoming initiatives or events encouraged to apply via the Squadron Energy website.
