Young people from across the Central West have been celebrated at the 2026 Max Potential awards in Mudgee, recognising their leadership, creativity and commitment to making a difference in their communities. Supported by Squadron Energy’s Crudine Ridge Wind Farm, the program pairs participants with volunteer Community Coaches to help develop projects that address local challenges. This year’s awards marked 20 years of Max Potential in the Central West, highlighting the program’s lasting impact in building confidence, leadership skills and stronger community connections among young people.
The St George Illawarra Dragons and Squadron Energy brought their successful Best You Can Be Regional Blitz to the Orana last week, connecting with students and local communities through school visits, wellbeing program, and a community walk. Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm is supporting a community basketball program for young people wanting to stay active and build new social connections in Wellington.
The Wellington PCYC Club is behind the program, running regular training sessions and drop-in basketball games.
The Goolma Road and Mitchell Highway intersection in Wellington, NSW, has officially been upgraded, with the turn into Goolma Road widening.
This will enable trucks carrying Uungula Wind Farm’s 80-metre turbine blades to access the project site.
Blade delivery for Uungula Wind Farm is expected in the coming weeks, pending logistical checks and approvals.
