OSOM delivery schedule 5 July to 26 July 2026
OSOM deliveries are anticipated to recommence from Monday 13 July 2026, weather and conditions permitting during the completion of the upgrade of the Goolma Road and Mitchell Highway intersection.
Wind Farm neighbours invited to learn more about internet connectivity program
Neighbours of the Uungula Wind Farm are invited to drop into Squadron Energy’s Wellington office later this month to learn more about Uungula Connect and receive assistance with registering for the program.
Australia’s leading renewable energy companies welcome investigations into renewable energy generation in Outback NSW
Western NSW Industry Group, which is comprised of renewable energy companies such as Squadron Energy, Iberdrola Australia and Tilt Renewables, welcome investigations into renewable energy generation in Far Northwest and Western NSW.
We are supportive of the current energy roadmap. Consistency of government energy policy is critical if companies are to continue to invest with confidence in the energy transition.
OSOM delivery schedule 21 June to 12 July 2026
Oversize overmass (OSOM) deliveries to Uungula Wind Farm are now underway.
Towers and the machine head will depart Newcastle in early mornings, with departures spaced 30 minutes apart to ensure smooth passage through the city. They may be required to stop at Warkworth and wait for sunrise before moving on.
Pre-installation begins for Uungula Wind Farm turbines
Wind turbine pre-installation is underway at Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm, marking the next stage of construction for the project.
Pre-installation, which involves using cranes to install the lower sections of the tower, began at the project site earlier this month.
How NSW’s electricity upgrade is creating regional careers
Squadron Energy Crudine Ridge Wind Farm Site Operations Manager Kacee Milnes is one of many who have entered the renewable energy workforce in Australia’s regional areas.
Projects such as Crudine Ridge are an example of this regional boom; since becoming fully operational, the project has created 240 direct jobs in the surrounding area.
Western Sydney manufacturing helping power NSW energy transition
Australian manufacturers a playing a key role in the construction of Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm – the only wind farm under construction in New South Wales.
Precision Oxycut, a steel-cutting company in Western Sydney, fabricates steel plates for the wind farm’s anchor cages, which sit at the base of each turbine and ensure structural stability.
These plates are made using steel from fellow local manufacturer, Bluescope.
Uungula Wind Farm supports next generation of cricketers in Wellington
Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm sponsored the Wellington Junior Cricket Club for the 2025/2026 cricketing season, which led to the purchase of brand-new playing shirts and caps for players. It also provided awards for the club’s end-of-season presentation last month.
The club recognised Squadron Energy and other sponsors for their ongoing support.
First turbine components for Uungula Wind Farm arrive at site
The first wind turbine components have been delivered to Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm, signalling the start of the next phase of the project.
Oversize overmass (OSOM) deliveries started this week, with components transported from the Port of Newcastle to site.
