Wind safety training opportunity opens pathway to jobs at Uungula Wind Farm for locals with trade skills

Aurora Wind, in partnership with Squadron Energy, is calling for expressions of interest for a Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training program.
Central West-Orana residents with a trade background are encouraged to apply.
The course is designed to prepare participants for work in the wind industry.
Sapphire Wind Farm team warmly welcomes ALGWA to site

Ten members of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association (ALGWA) have made a rare site visit to Squadron Energy’s Sapphire Wind Farm.
The ALGWA, an organisation that advocates for women in local government, were able to see how wind farms operate up close.
The ten members were mayors and councillors across NSW.
First transmission lines strung at Uungula Wind Farm

A helicopter took to the Central West sky to start stringing transmission lines at Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm last month.
Transmission line will be attached to 28 towers over the coming months to connect the wind farm into the electricity grid.

NSW RFS Orana Team complete leadership program to strengthen operations in Central West-Orana

Firefighters from the NSW RFS Orana team took part in a specialised program that developed leadership skills last year.
The program was hosted by Forsythes Training and proudly supported by Squadron Energy.

Sapphire Wind Farm supports Christmas for children in need with toy donations

Squadron Energy’s Sapphire Wind Farm team has supported the Inverell Community Sewing for Charity’s annual Christmas drive with the donation of several toys.
The toys, which are given to the Rural Outreach Support Service, are given to children in need within the region.
Clarke Creek Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund applications open for 2026

Applications are open for Squadron Energy’s Clarke Creek Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund for 2026.
The fund supports community projects and initiatives within 50km of the 450-megawatt wind farm.
There is a total annual commitment of $200,000.
Clarke Creek Wind Farm Stage 2 project update – January 2026

The Clarke Creek Wind Farm – Stage 2 team are finalising the project layout for the change application to the existing State Approval.
