Bookham Wind Farm community newsletter – May 2026

Recent work has focused on analysing wind data collected from ground monitoring units and meteorological masts. These masts have now been collecting wind data for over 12 months, to support detailed wind modelling.

New playground coming to Bookham rest stop 

A welcoming and safe space for local families and those travelling through Bookham is on the way, with Squadron Energy funding a new playground for the rest stop on the Hume Highway. 

Folk and contemporary music festival creates magical night for Coolac community

The Coolac community was treated to a night of folk and country tunes as the town’s Memorial Hall hosted the Small Halls Festival.
Squadron Energy’s Saddletop Wind Farm sponsored the festival held at the Coolac Memorial Hall last month.
It featured music from Australian indie-pop and folk musician Tullara and Métis Canadian singer-songwriter Joe H. Henry.

Uungula Wind Farm supports next generation of cricketers in Wellington 

Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm sponsored the Wellington Junior Cricket Club for the 2025/2026 cricketing season, which led to the purchase of brand-new playing shirts and caps for players. It also provided awards for the club’s end-of-season presentation last month.
